This installation will consist of large covered geodesic aluminum structures forming the profile of a reclining pregnant woman preparing to give birth as she emerges ‘through’ the surface of the Earth.

There will be five major components:

1). The Feet. These will consist of two functional vehicles dressed with sculptural renditions of the human foot. They will be ‘parked’ at the base of each leg and be capable of ‘going Walkabout’ each day for the purpose of ‘promoting’ that night’s events at the main installation. The feet each carry the message ‘Leave only your Footprints’.

2). The Legs. These will be constructed from the four 40ft Shipping Containers in which it is envisaged the components of the installation originally arrive and leave the site. Each pair will be set on jigs at a 90* angle to form the ‘raised-knee’ positioning of the thigh and shin and will be dressed to follow the organic lines of the rest of the ‘body’ sculpture.

3). The Belly. This will consist of a double skinned 38 yard diameter hemispherical geodesic dome. Entry and exit will be via a large ‘vulva’ opening between the legs. The internal and external surfaces will be covered in a translucent material allowing colors, images and textures to be projected onto either or both surfaces from programmable lights and projectors mounted between the two skins. This will allow for a different ambience on both inner and outer surfaces simultaneously.

Internally it will be possible to present the illusion of almost any scene in 360* format, from that of actually being in a womb to that of looking ‘out’ onto the stars and galaxies of the rest of the Universe.

The ‘Womb’ or Belly Dome will essentially form a massive dance floor/stadium that, owing to the double skin feature, will also allow adequate temperature and ventilation/dust control. The Audio will be full surround-sound and positioned at multiple points between the skins of the ‘womb’. Because the focal point of optimum audio quality will be within the dome the volume levels ‘escaping’ or audible outside the structure, will therefore be kept fairly minimal. Silent electrical power generation will be paramount.

The ‘belly-button’ node will contain colored ‘sky-tracker’ style lights projected vertically skywards.

Performers and other sculptural works will be actively suspended from the internal ‘roof’ of the structure.. Envisage, for example, many ‘babies’ bungying on their umbilical cords to the heartbeat of the music and a giant inflatable backlit fetus expanding within the space! The double skin structure will also allow for the safe support of considerable internal payloads. Water pumps will circulate U.V. non-mixing colored fluids through translucent ‘supply’ tubing, adding further realism to these internal Umbilical and Placenta effects!

4). The Breasts. These will consist of two 18 yard diameter single skinned domes positioned proportionally. One breast will house a cinema/public speaking platform and the other a specialized modern circus performance and workshop zone. Similar lighting and audio systems to those of the main ‘belly’ dome will allow a full visual synchronization in order to render an overall unified effect when viewed from the outside.

5). The Head. This will consist of two interlocked geodesic domes dressed with a facial profile frame and similarly covered. Laser projections from the eyes and ‘Third Eye’ positions will gain enough height to act as an attractor beacon from anywhere on site. This area is the ‘Head-space’, literally a ‘chill-out’ or meditative zone with more focus upon ambient music and psychoactive projections. Hormone secretions, synaptic response and brain activity will be emulated by special projections/sequences here.

The erogenous zones around the clitoral and nipple areas will be highlighted by fire installations. The 8 tone colored flames of the computer controlled ‘Hot-Wok’ at the apex of the vulva and two high volume LPG burners positioned at the breast nipples. An LPG powered, 8 channel, Pythagorean-tuned ‘Pyrophone’ will be synchro-harmonically linked via MIDI to the main Audio system and reside also within the womb area. Here also will be 4 low-volume radio controlled and sequenced LPG burners.

The ‘Hot-Wok’.

It is estimated that the entire installation will be just over 100 yards in length, up to 20 yards high and envisaged that it be allowed to present an unobstructed view of itself that remains in proportion to the human form whilst being of a scale suited to the environment and thereby large enough to be recognizable from any perspective and also from a great distance away. Importantly, orientation on site with the head to the North will allow a full length profile to be viewed against both Sunrise/set.

The ‘show’, from the colored flames to the sequenced full spectrum color projections and the frequency of the musical tones, has been specifically designed and written to harmonize exactly with the Human Auric & Spectral Chakra systems, thereby allowing for an attunement and a healing effect upon the body (and spirit) of those within the experiential field. Thus it has been assessed and proven that in the time period between initially entering the ‘womb’ and finally ‘re-birthing’ out through the birth canal into the ‘outside world’ again the Human has thus been energized and cleansed to the extent that they are, in essence, a ‘new’ being!

On the final night the installation will be highlighted by an externally viewed, synchronized Pyrotechnic and lighting display spectacular. It is NOT intended to burn the actual Installation!!
